Photobun is a free RAW photo editor that opens camera RAW files right in your browser. Drop in a CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF, RW2 or DNG file and it is decoded on your own computer with LibRaw, with calibrated colour for about 1,200 camera models, so your photos are never uploaded. How to Edit RAW Photos Online
- Click Open a RAW file, or drag CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG or other RAW files onto the page; they open in the Develop workspace.
- Pick a photo in the filmstrip and set White Balance, Exposure, Highlights, Shadows and the other Basic sliders.
- Fine-tune with Tone Curve, Color Mixer, Color Grading, Detail, Lens Corrections and Transform, or apply a preset.
- Click Export to save JPEG, PNG or WebP files, or Edit in Photobun to keep working with layers.

Non-destructive
Your original RAW files are never changed. Settings are kept in the browser, so you can come back later, compare Before/After and reset any panel.
A RAW file keeps the full sensor data, so you can recover highlights, open up shadows and change white balance after the shot far more cleanly than with a JPEG. The catch is that you need a RAW converter to view and export it. Photobun is a free one that runs in the browser, so it also works on a borrowed laptop or a Chromebook.
The Library view shows your photos as a grid and a filmstrip with star ratings and flags, so you can cull a shoot before editing. Copy, paste and sync settings to give many frames the same look, then batch export JPEG, PNG or WebP at full size or with a set long edge, in sRGB or Display P3.
When a photo needs more than global adjustments, click Edit in Photobun to open it in the layer editor for retouching, cut-outs, text and compositing. Filter › Camera Raw Filter applies the same controls to any layer of an ordinary image. Exported files don't include EXIF metadata yet.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open CR3, NEF or ARW files without installing software?
Yes. Open Photobun in a current desktop browser and drop the file on the page. It works as a CR3, NEF and ARW viewer and editor, and you can export a JPEG straight away.
Are my RAW files uploaded?
No. The RAW decoder (LibRaw) runs inside your browser and adjustments are rendered on your computer. Your photos stay on your device.
Is there a size limit?
Files up to about 50 megapixels work comfortably on a typical laptop. Larger files need more memory and time. Fujifilm X-Trans RAF files take longer to decode than other RAW files.
Does it correct lens distortion?
You can correct distortion, vignetting and chromatic aberration manually in Lens Corrections, and DNG files can use the lens corrections embedded in them. There is no built-in lens profile database.
